Connecting Foreign Allies with the AZ Defense Industry
Streamlining the Foreign Military Sales Process
What is Foreign Military Sales?
Foreign Military Sales (FMS) is the US government’s program for transferring defense articles and services to international partners and organizations.
The Problem with FMS
The current FMS process is highly procedural for good reasons, but a side effect of this is a lack of collaboration and transparency with allied nations that can negatively impact their overall experience. There is no direct communication between foreign militaries and the US defense industry creating a disconnect between what’s needed and what’s supplied.
Cutting Past the Bureaucracy
The Arizona Defense & Industry Coalition aims to serve as liaison between Foreign Militaries and US industry to increase FMS efficiency. This can be done by enabling by creating a platform for which foreign militaries to work directly with US industry to build their plans and create more direct and accurate purchasing requests for the DoD.
